Brian Howes has created quite the fruitful career for himself in the music world, and has worked with some large names in the industry. A few of his recent projects include collaborations with Keith Urban, Linkin Park, 1OK Rock (featuring Kiiara), Blackbear, Jasiah, Boys Like Girls ("Two is Better Than One,” featuring Taylor Swift), American Idol’s Chris Daughtry and David Cook, Scott Helman, Bang Bang Romeo, The Static Shift (Produced and Co-wrote first single, “1965”, that reached the Top 20’s), Haley and Michaels (produced and co-wrote single “Hail Mary”, which was at US Country radio and was just made the theme song for the San Fransisco 49ers), Jonathon Roy, and ILoveMakonnen.
Brian Howes has acquired his fair share of accomplishments during his action-packed time within the music industry. Amongst his many career-based accolades, it is the highlights of his career that set him apart. Some of those highlights being his joint venture partnership between Howes and Jimmy Iovine (Interscope Records), called VanHowes/Interscope Records, in which their first signing was Rev Theory. Theory would go on to sell over 500k records in the US, with 1st single “Hell Yeah” going Top 10 at radio with 70 million streams. Following, was their second signing, A Thousand Horses, going #1 at US Country Radio.
Howes kept up this momentum with his next joint venture partnership with Roger Faxon, (EMI Music Publishing), called, NobodyHome/EMI Publishing. Their first and only signing was Nashville Producer/Songwriter Chris DeStefano, who would go on to achieve 14 #1’s at US Country Radio, including songs with Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert.
As Howes continued to prove his worth amongst his peers, he began teaming up with big names, such as Big Loud’s and Florida Georgia Line’s manager, Kevin “Chief” Zaruk, and 604 Records’ CEO, Jonathan Simkin, in hopes to create a music-based reality TV show, which ended up being sold to NBC and is currently under production in Europe.
When it comes to his musical abilities, aside from the business world, Howes channels his talents into production and songwriting. To name a few of the monstrous projects that Howes has worked on:
Producing and co-writing album Love Drunk for Columbia artists Boys Like Girls, whose first two singles "Two is Better Than One” (featuring Taylor Swift) and “Love Drunk,” both went Top 5 in the US and sold more than 4 million singles. The album went on to become certified Gold in the US.
